ABOUT This project reimagines the Government Accountability Office’s Annual Report by transforming it into O2, a refreshed, accessible, and visually engaging publication. Centered on a detailed investigation into single-use plastic waste within the U.S. military, the redesigned report highlights key findings, recommendations, and statistical insights related to sustainability practices.
INTENT The intention of the design was to communicate serious governmental research through a format that feels clear, contemporary, and engaging, without losing the credibility and professionalism expected from a federal agency. By blending visual cues from the military with color palettes and motifs associated with recycling and environmental awareness, the report creates an unexpected yet effective intersection between discipline and awareness.
DESIGN Patterns, infographics, and modular layouts make dense information easier to navigate, while bold typographic hierarchy guides readers through complex data and policy suggestions. The result is a publication that reframes environmental accountability in a dynamic and visually compelling way, making government reporting feel both informative and approachable.
